Before It’s Too Late

We must speak now to preserve our freedoms

“We the People” must take care to preserve our Constitutional Rights.

On July 25, 2021, in a New York Post article titled, “Muzzled!”, Ben Shapiro wrote, “More than six in ten Americans say they fear saying what they think….”  I was jolted into action. You can argue that his percentage is not accurate. You might disdain anything Ben Shapiro says. However, if you think that Americans are not living in fear of speaking their minds, you are cowering under a rock in a remote desert.

Our first amendment protecting free speech is in danger!

From forcing coercive legislation, being coddled and endorsed by mainstream media, to infiltrating the workforce, and permeating our schools, pernicious and destructive ideologues are not only suppressing our rights to free speech, they are dictating how we must think and act, right down to telling us how to view ourselves based on the color of our skin.

The only way to push back against this tidal wave of speech and thought suppression, is to identify it for what it is, intimidation and a grab for power. We must refuse to succumb to its evil forces. Every one of us who wants to retain our rights under our constitution must go on record so the populace understands these messengers of hatred and divisiveness are a minority (for now). They may be loud; they may be destructive and scary, but I believe, they are a minority of Americans. I would suggest, they are imposters; not true Americans.

Will our Founding Fathers’ “Great Experiment” end?

The very survival of our nation as “The great experiment” and the land of the free, is at risk. Thugs wearing Black Lives Matter T-shirts, anti-fascists, and extremists of many stripes attack people, destroy private property and put small businesses out of business. Academic elitists have closed our universities to critical thinking to pursue socialist, progressive agendas. A frightening percentage of our legislators are scheming and lying in order to spend trillions of dollars to bankrupt our nation. Meritocracy’s head is in the guillotine; mediocrity is holding the rope. Corporate executives are slithering up on the scaffold of virtue-signaling to appease the mob. These are not business leaders; they are craven cowards.

I have hesitated to maintain a blog for self-promotion and increasing book sales. But I have many years ahead to live and observe, and I am fearful of what is happening now, what is going to happen, and of how I will feel if I have to look back and realize I said nothing.

The highways of history are paved with corpses of those who should have spoken, but didn’t. We all know about 20th century cruel and despotic dictators: Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, Kim Il Sung, Saddam Hussein, and more. Today numerous countries suffer under deadly dictators, making the headlines daily; look no further than Hong Kong, North Korea or Cuba.

“The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.”

If I want everyone who believes in preserving our constitutional freedoms (and who does not want our laws rewritten or misinterpreted), to stop being afraid, I must set an example and go on record for truth and freedom. I cannot sit back on my comfy couch and “Let George do it”. Yes, we do have many intelligent and talented speakers and writers who do the heavy lifting. But they are too few. Who didn’t go to the poles last November who now wishes they had? Numbers matter. Our voices matter. Freedom to think, feel, speak, and act, is a precious and fragile commodity.

Our country’s flag flies from our front porch every day. Let’s remember the words of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in his first inaugural address, “The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.”

I am speechless!! All I can say is you have hit the nail on the head and you speak for all of us who have worked hard and appreciate all that is true, fair, and good.
I, like you, open my mouth and say how I feel and talk about how the liberals’ phoney lies and deception are destroying the very fabric this great country was built on.
What happened to ‘never again’ with the Holocaust, and ‘never again’ with 9/11 and all the other atrocities that took place?? The liberals also claim that they have everybody’s best interest in mind, .. .. oh pahleaze!
Open your eyes America and in particular the less fortunate that have been bullied into feeling that they are victims and there is no place to go but down. The Democrats convince them that they are the only ones that can help them and have put them into thinking that there is no hope and therefore they are the only hope.
I was brought up to think for myself and think of ALL the people. WE actually DO have everyone’s best interest in mind and not just our own.
America is for ALL people!! That is what makes America great. All we ask is to please come in legally and then enjoy and reap the benefits of this great country!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    1. Yes, let’s not overlook the bullying going on under the dishonest mask of protecting them in their victimhood. How very UNAMERICAN!
